International Programs Advisor
As an International Programs Advisor, Emily advises engineering students on global opportunities involving work, internships, volunteer and research abroad. She also works with student organizations to plan and prepare for international travel. Emily earned her M.A. in College Student Development from Appalachian State University in 2012 and her B.A. in Economics from Kalamazoo College in 2008. As an undergraduate student Emily studied abroad in Costa Rica and participated in Outreach360 in the Dominican Republic. As a graduate student Emily traveled to the UK for a comparative study of US higher education to Scotland, Wales and England. She also served two years in Peace Corps Ecuador where she trained English teachers and created an International Alternative Service Experience partnership. Having benefited from her international experiences, Emily looks forward to fostering global opportunities for students to enhance their college experience!
