As the Director of International Programs, Miranda works closely with CoE faculty to develop new institutional partnerships and international opportunities for engineering students. She represents the College of Engineering in University-wide groups that support international programs, such as the International Travel Oversight Committee (ITOC) and the Council on Global Engagement (CGE).

Miranda earned her M.A. in Educational Administration, Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota (2008) and her B.A. in German and International Studies from Augustana College. Prior to joining the IPE team, Miranda worked in the Education Abroad office at Washington State University where she advised students throughout the study abroad process and assisted faculty in the development of programs abroad. Her previous academic and professional experiences include working for a study abroad program provider, university residence life and housing services, and studying and traveling abroad herself. Miranda’s first experience abroad was as a high school exchange student. As an undergraduate, she spent a semester on an exchange at the University of Potsdam and completed an internship in Germany. Miranda is passionate about international education as a result of her own international experiences and seeks to encourage all engineering students to gain global competencies.
