Renée Saulter

As an International Programs Advisor/Coordinator, Renée assists students with identifying and preparing for overseas study and research opportunities. 

Renée earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2007 with a dual major in Arabic, Armenian, Persian, Turkish, & Islamic Studies and Anthropology, and Master of Arts degrees in Arabic Studies (University of Michigan, 2009) and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Eastern Michigan University, 2014). Prior to joining the International Programs in Engineering team, Renée worked for Michigan Language Assessment as an Assessment Developer. She has also held various roles within the field of international education, including teaching ESL at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the Modern College of Business and Science in Oman. 

Renée’s first international experience was as a participant in a summer Arabic language program in Salalah, Oman. Her time there inspired her to pursue a career in international education in order to foster cross-cultural knowledge and understanding. Renée is committed to helping students pursue meaningful educational experiences abroad.
